What comes back
A shooting day runs to about a thousand frames. Fifty to a hundred of them are worth keeping, and all of those are yours — graded and finished, nothing held back to be sold on later. However long the session, you get everything that came out of it well.
How many that turns out to be is decided by the day itself: how easy you are in front of a camera, how complicated the shoot is, the location, the weather. Editing takes one to three days — a thousand frames is one night at the desk, so that is a real timeline rather than a polite one.
